Two Nelson’s Sparrows – unusual for this area – were spotted at the Wake Robin Trail at the Mentor Marsh in Mentor Ohio. We were fortunate that other experienced birders were there who were closely watching the birds and pointed them out to us. I managed to get a photo of one of the pair – it’s not the best photo but considering that the birds were far away and hard to spot in t he thick grasses even using my long camera lens, it’s the best I could do.
