Early Spring At Veterans Park, Mentor Ohio

It was brisk outside today but at least it was sunny, so we decided to head out to Veterans Park in Mentor, Ohio to see what kinds of birds and waterfowl were visiting the area. We saw the ubiquitous Canada geese, all of them in a feisty mood. There were also quite a few mallards out and about, and they were being very protective of their nesting areas. At least the mallards seemed friendlier and actually seemed to come up very close and pose for some pictures. The geese, however, were best photographed from afar today.
